Agreed that the RHS is not necessarily a final taxonomic authority, it is the de facto final authority for horticultural purposes. I thought the RHS accepted (as does the AOS) the Kew "Checklist of Selected Plant Families" as the authority for taxonomy.

Well, I can run on a little more, but I'm not sure it will help. The clonal name 'Lemon Dolly' was used twice for awarded yellow phals. If one could contact Mark Rose, the former owner and hybridizer, one might be able to find out which plant is 'Lemon Dolly'-probably not worth the effort. The safest name to use now is Dor. pulcherrima.
