Cat attacks my orchids!

Try duct tape sticky side up around the orchids. Stopped our Mikki from drinking out of the fountain.

Thank you all for fresh ideas. I have been putting sticky tape in exposed areas around the orchids. LOL! The living-room bay window looked strange before (well not to orchid lovers) but this really adds to the whole look

OR, it will bring more flocks to the area, and they'll eat orchids for dessert!!

(My mother finally had to put a limit on how much bird seed she bought for the feeders in the back yard. The birds are really good at notifying their friends and neighbors where the free food buffet is!)

That comment really tickelled me. As for the cat i can't stand them so maybe best i say nothing on that score

Ugh! Update...
I thought the upside-down duct tape was working... until Trixie started long-jumping INTO my orchid clan! I am really at my end. I just came home to find ANOTHER psychopsis spike broken off of my large, beautiful plant. I have even placed those plastic spikes sold to prevent cats from digging in soil, around the plants. I am at my end
Anyone want an orchid destroying cat?

Try garlic. Crush whole heads of garlic and boil them in enough water to cover. Strain, then spray. I have never tried this on orchids so do a test spot first. Cats AND insects hate it!

i didnt read the rest of the posts, just scanned down to the bottom...so i dont know if this was suggested already...just use cayenne pepper mix it in a spray bottle and mist the plants down heavily with it, should put an end to it....OR... (as i have lived in southern china) spicy hotpot is an excellent way to serve cat, garnish with a cheap pink/white den. like they do at thai places ;-)

Hey, hows about putting some bitter/foul tasting powder or oil based solution on the leaves it likes most? That way, she will eat one, and think 'yuck! im not eating those again!' and it might just be enough to discourage her.....

haha lol, nice one...your not serious right!? We always make fun of chinese drivers that drive like they are 5 year olds.....you can only guess at the remarks we make up.....
