I'll mix it up a little,
and say three I'm dying to have
(but continue to torture myself by not buying them)
and two I absolutely could not part with.
No photos, so colorful and flowery descriptions will have to suffice.
Must Have
1. Angraecum distichum
I have this guy bookmarked, I look at it every day.
miniature, fragrant, braided leaves. *sigh*
2. Blc. Chia Lin
Red, full and floofy, and fragrant!
It doesn't matter which one either, 'New City', 'PCT', or 'Shinsu #1'
or NoId.
3. Gongora Pterodactyl or Atropurpurea
Even though they are short lived bloomers, I can't
resist that grotesque-faerie shape, and rich red coloring.
Oh, yeah, and did I mention they're fragrant, too?
Must Not Ever Part With
1. Phrag. Bouley Bay
Blooms: Large (4 x 8"), nice shape (upright, slightly curly dorsal, and long ribbony tails),
interesting colors (red and peach, and yellowy cream and salmon), sequential/multifloral. Plant has easy care, too.
Best flowers for making me happy, just to see them.
2. Paph. Delenatii
Has the most interesting mottled purple foliage,
and is a small size so it doesn't take up 2 ft square like Bouley Bay does.
And also has the cutest round shaped blooms, with a little purple button nose.
The flowers are also covered with a very fine hair, so when
you put your nose real close to the flower to smell the faint raspberry/vanilla scent,
they gently brush your skin like velvet.
