Very cool Miltassia, Martha. I almost thought, depending on the size that it might be a Beallara (see Marfitch 'Howards Dream' - not the same color as your plant, but Beallaras have similar shapes). But I have a fondness for miltassias, since I have a vey special one. It's one of the healthiest orchids I have - tons of new growths, several spikes at a time, pretty leaves - but I'd love it if I could say it grew like yours! BTW, if you look up Charles M. Fitch, you'll find some very extraordinary orchid growing. It's no coincidence that his name appears in orchid taxonomy time and time again.
