I agree with Gin, glazed ceramic pots are a no no for orchids. You can use them to display your orchids when they are in bloom, by putting the clay pot which the orchid is growing inside a much bigger ceramic pot. Make sure there is at least one inch gap between the sides of the two pot.

hope you enjoy your new hobby.
I love the glazed ceramic pots, too,
and I buy the "special" orchid pots,
which seem to be more holes than glazed ceramic.
Although, I would suppose a less swiss-cheese-like
pot would just act more like a plastic pot than a ceramic,
i.e. holding in the moisture.
One suggestion I can offer
is for you to consider potting your phals up similarly
for consistency and efficiency in watering.
The larger the pot, the less often it will need water.
And then also, a plastic/glazed ceramic need water about half as often
as a clay pot.
When you have the time to give individual attention to your plants,
checking on them everyday isn't a problem,
but if your collection grows, you
may prefer the ease of uniform growing conditions for your plants.
