Bruce, what kind of pesticide should be used?
Gary

I'd be tempted to repot to check out the condition of the root system. It's not blooming, so go for it. Would also be nice to put it in something more attractive. Looks like a healthy plant.
Hi Gary, anything really - just something to make sure there are not any pests hiding in the medium. A good rule of thumb (and one I used to follow solidly, but lately I have become more slack about , is to repot ALL new orchids coming into the collection. This way they are growing in a medium I am used to and works for my watering schedule, I know the roots are healthy, and they are free of unwanted visitor pests. But back to your question: Since I grow in a greenhouse, I use Malathion but realize that it stinks pretty seriously. If the plant was going to be in my house, I would take it outside to pour the mixture through the medium and let it 'air' out.In the greenhouse there is lots of air movement but it still is pretty strong smelling stuff.

Thanks, having been raised in the country, I have Malation on hand. I use it on my roses and other plants.
