I'd say both are worthwhile acquiring. They illustrate a greater number of species between them if you have both! The weakest thing about Pridgeon is it is a tad dated now--there have been some changes in taxonomy, for sure. Botanica is more up-to-date. I think I heard there was a planned update to the Pridgeon book, although possibly by another author, rather than Pridgeon, himself.
