    Was just reminded while reading another post; should I steak the spikes? I'm not sure how long they'll get and I don't know if they need to be staked or can hold their own. the brsdm I have did just fine without stakes...

    Depends on the height of the stems - mine was over 4' tall and I had to find special tall stakes for it! Hope yours gets big and beautiful!
