This is probably old hat to most of you, but to me it's a VERY BIG deal! I've been working at growing Phrags for several years, with not much success. This Inca Fire is 9 years old and 5 others range in age from 3 - 8, and never a bloom, until now. Maybe it's over-stating, but I am ecstatic! I completely changed my culture. Different media, only small bark, MSU fert. and keeping the pots in a large tray, always with at least 2" of water. Some of that, especially the water tray, seemed radical to me, but obviously it's working.
At this point the only questions I have are - now that it's sending up a shoot, is there anything different I should be doing, and is there anything I should do later to encourage another?
Thanks to you all
