It is priceless to have such friends as you are in the days like this...Thank you all for your kind thoughts and compassions, I just can't tell you how wery sad I am.
18 years she was part of my family and I can say she was really something special, she was great cat!
The story began when my childs found her - abandoned and hungry little kitty - and I let them to stay only one night with us... well, this night lasted 18 years and I do not regret a single moment because we spent so many happy moments together.
When she was one year old, she fell down from the balcony, from the 9th floor: this was on November 1th, when already freezing outside.
The wet said she experience hypothermia so if she will warmed to normal body temperature, it might be some hope, but the announcements were bad. She spent a week at the veterinary clinic (she had broken pe lvis, broken bladder, and she got a strong blow to the head). After one week we were called by wet and suggested we put her down, because she was in bad medical condition (the pupils didn't react to a light and she couldn't arises on her feet).
My daughter suggested that we take her home as she will care for her for a few days (she left school for a week). When we brought her home, she was just lying, she could not walk, she could not even lift up her head. After one week the tail began to move and then her medical condition getting better each day.
She was back on her feet after a few months as she had never fallen from a height.
A few years ago she found out that it is very fine to drink tap water: she usually woke me up at 6.15 (the same as we can see at Simon's Cat ) and then we went to the bathroom together, watching out she was the first. She jumped in the sink and drank, and after that was my turn...
She was very talkative, on my every word she has responded in her own way.
When I brought the bag from the store, she immediately run to check out if it is something for her - and of course she always got some snacks.
Lately we have frequently been to the vet because of kidney.
She's gone now and I'm waiting subconsciously from which corner she'll run to me, I've got feeling I stil hear her ...
We often find her moustache on the floor: just picked them up and stuck them in a some toy: this is all what has left ... and of course - a lot of great memories.
And as Betty said: then we cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sad to hear that you have lost your long-time feline friend. Your cat will always be with you in your heart and memories. It is very hard to let go of a loved-one.
Thank you Paulina, I miss my little furry friend so much!
So sorry to hear the news, Branka.
Sorry to hear of such grieving news, Branka. take care
Oh, Branka, what a hard time you must be having! I've been through it before, exactly as you described. I grieved for months, feeling the emptiness where he had been. It took me a long time to be able to get another. No other cat can ever replace yours, but there may be one out there just waiting for you to find it. You will know when it's the right time. Now is the time to let yourself grieve and know that she is in a better place - not sick, not in pain, but happy and comfortable. It's alway those who are left behind that hurt the most. But this will, in the end, make you a stronger person.
I'm so sad for you.... I'll be thinking about you every day and hoping the pain is easing up as time goes on.
Oh Branka, I am so sorry, I know how much your heart aches right now. - martha
Branka, I'm so sorry for your loss. We have enjoyed seeing pictures of your beautiful cat. Words won't relieve your sorrow, but we also share in your pain.

This is what I sent to Branka. And, now, for everyone who has lost a precious animal member of their family, I send it to you...
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
