Thanks Roy. I always value your opinions especially on paphs as I am still a novice at growing them.

Nice.... To bloom esquirolei or hirsutissimum in the lowlands without artificial cooling is difficult...

Thanks. I bought it from a vendor in the Cameron Highlands. It is growing together on the same bench with my other paphs - no artificial cooling but my rothchildianum and charlesworthii have refused to bloom. My lowii has bloomed once. I am quite excited about the species cymbidium I bought from the orang asli which has produced 2 spikes . Don't know what it is until the flowers emerge.

Yew, so many growers post pics of ??? esquirolei ??? in forums & they are clearly NOT pure. P. esquirolei has a flower shape similar to hirsutissimum but has some specific characteristics that make it notably different if you are aware of them. Your has most/all of them. The one BIG mistake thats is made is that esquirolei "doesn't have "hairs", particularly along the top of the petals like hirsut' does. Its usually as bald as a babies bum. Yours has some fluff on the petals, most acceptable. Any esquirolei that has has distinguishable hairs on the petals is usually a hybrid between "esuirloei & hirsut". This fact doesn't half cause some arguements.

Congratulations Yew I love this species very much as you said could be climate change or they already acclimatize in your atmosphere, any idea where to get this plant here.

As I mentioned in my post I got mine from a vendor in the Cameron Highlands. I don't know if Choe of Kaki Bukit has any though I recently got a bellatulum and sukhakulii from him.
