Thanks guys for the compliments. It was not a major project but doing it alone and with the hickup of the spikot needing to be replaced it took a bit longer than expected.

Looks nice !!
This is exciting as I am a DIY guy myself and a project like this would be on top of my hot list! Good set up, keep it up!
Bravo Miller! Nicely done.
Niceee... your babies gonna be thankful for the nice refreshing misty bath![]()
Thanks again everyone, now I need to figure out a misting schedule. The mister is a 7 day a week mister but I can only set four misting sessions a day. Any recommendation for the schedule? I have Onc, Dens, Gramms, Enc and Catts.

After seeing this its giving me the push I need to get my watering system put up, and thanks for the great pics.
I have a similar setup...nowhere near as nice looking.I set my misters to run for two minutes at noon, one, two, and three o'clock. At first, I had it set for five minutes, but that was too much. I'm still working the kinks out after quite a long time running it because I have a mixed collection in a small space. That's the great thing about these systems though...you can alter them easily as you go along.

Wow I am way over doing it, I have it misting for 15 minutes at 11, 1, 3 and 5. Our temps are getting into the upper 90's now and since they are outside I thought maybe they would need more versus orchids that are grown in a green/shade house. It is so hot that 5 to 10 minutes after it shuts off the water has already evaporated off the leaves. The bark mix does stay moist longer.
Keep in mind that our environments are different. Two minutes of misting may be enough for me, but not for you. I do most of my watering manually...the misters are being used mostly to keep my mounted plants from suffering from my lack of humidity during the midday hours. You have to observe your plants and their media frequently to figure out what schedule is best. The most important of my mounts are directly under the mister nozzles so they get a really good wetting. The others just get a bit of cooling off on their leaves.
