I got this gorgeous primary hybrid already blooming. I was so fascinated when I found out that this is quite a new cross registered only in 2011 considering it being a primary cross. Cattleya rex is very dominant in the growth and flowers, I found some pictures on the internet where the iricolor is dominant but I am glad that in my plant the Cat. rex is so dominant. It has a very overpowering scent. I checked Orchidwiz and found out that Cattleya rex is very very underutilized in breeding in spite of it having such gorgeous blooms, are there any particular reasons for that) Anyways here are the photos, the first three are from the nursery and the last one after I received it at my place.
