Great show by your dendrobium.

nice plant, lovely growing area, great job![]()
This is on my wishlist.
@ hoanglong Beautiful blooms and healthy plants.
I am glad this post has come up again. I have noticed that you are growing your Dens. in fairly large pots and they are doing quite well. I would be inclined to do the same, particularly with the ones with very long or fat canes but every time I do this someone from my orchid community would tell me that I am wrong to do this. They claim that Dens. do better in pots where they can become almost pot-bound.
Would you share with us your comment.
Thanks

there are some vigorous ferns that compete wayy too much with the orchids and their nutrients and that damn Oxalis(clover) growss too much everywhere not to mention blasted PILIA (artillery weed) i cant stand it....and if u have compots with promix u are in trouble....u really dont want any weeds to send seed anywhere near those seedlings....i pull everything offf thats not an orchid....there are a few tiny slow growing ferns i wud tolerate for a while
@ angela : I usually plant Dendrobium on the development of the plant, for the small size, I planted them in a small pot.But the tall trees and fast-growing, I in them in a large pot, and add a high pole in the pots to keep them from falling.
