Thank you Jeff for your kind gesture I sent him an email hopeful he will reply.

What an impressive vanda! It must love your care - I wish I had even one orchid that would bloom twice in a year.

Maura; Give it time. You'll get more blooms than you now realize and some good surprises also along the way. Orchids like fine wine usually like to mature and settle in. AL

Too true Al, mine took 6 years to flower. Just patience and the right spot are 2 values for a blooming orchid.

What a great plant! I wish mine blooms like that. The blue coloration is very nice! The stripes/veins are really icing on the cake! Lovely blooms on a wonderful plant. Great growing!

Cool Update on ID and bloom

Hi everyone I was able to email the grower and asked him of the ID for this Vanda which he replied "Ascda. John de Biase x V. tessellata" and also both spikes are almost open maybe a few flowers left.

Beautiful blooms, Beny. So glad you were able to get the name from the owner - too often whoever is in charge of an orchid nursery has no idea how important tagging the plants to us - and what's more, they generally don't care. My local nurseries are paying their bills by selling those dinnerplate white Phals like hotcakes. I guess the general public still thinks they make a good decoration.
