I was just talking orchids with a few friends the other day and the subject of the leading Asian orchid producers cropped up and it was the general consensus that Vietnam would soon be challenging Thailand and Taiwan.

Thanks you for your appreciation to Vietnam's challenging capacity. But it will take a long time for Vietnam to compete Thailand and Taiwan in orchid cultivation.

Well this is just getting silly ! What tremendous growing- what tremendous plants! That second BLC is fabulous: just look at the lip- not just the stormy colours, but the EXQUISITE form too! I am humbled. (In a very good way.)

Obviously I don't know everything - just a few things I pick up here and there and the older I get the more I realise how little I know.The Internet is a wonderous thing and it has opened up a whole new world of knowledge for me. I have learned more in the short time I've been in this Forum than in all the 50 years of growing orchids. Any way thanks for the vote of confidence.

I agree with you- I too am learning so much here... For one thing: it has made me much more confident when dealing with my plants. Only yesterday I learnt about disbudding...
