No it wasn't in bloom. I am guessing it's just not big enough. I was thinking about repotting it because the new pbulbs are climbing up on the old ones like crazy. It's a strange plant. Maybe I will mount a piece...

I agree - it IS a strange plant. The pbulbs on mine are jammed together so tightly, it's really hard to stake the inflorescences - and the really do need to be staked. Where the new growth is going to go, I have no idea whatsoever.

Yes, Jeff - it's kind of crammed with them. The only issue I see is that the spikes are kind of at different stages, much like the orange mystery catt (which, by the way, this looks incredibly similar to), so by the time the 5th spike is blooming, the 1st is sort of on its way out. But that's a pretty luxurious problem to have in my experience!

About 8 inched to the top of the bulb

Great happens there Maura. They may not bloom all at once, but then the 'scenary' may last longer if the budds open in stages.................You know Act One, Act Two, Act Three, and so on! AL

It is already happening, but in my state of trying to reorganize my apartment, I have sorely neglected my photos. I will remedy that soon, I promise.

Looking at your plant, I personally would grow it in a pot; it hasn't inherited that characteristic from cordigera.
