I read that leptotes is more closely related to Loefgrenianthus, and I like the Blanche-amesiae species , but it seems opposite as far as its needs are to the Leptotes, also mentioning much harder to grow. I want to keep the ornamental miniature feel to this piece

Aahhh... well, we all have our different ideas of what is beautiful! That's what makes the orchid world so fun! There's so much variety you can find nearly any shape!

I don't know anything about Loefgrenianthus or Blanche-amesiae... but I'm sure you'll come up with a brilliant pairing, and one that suits your tastes best. Make sure you let us know what you decide! Inquiring minds want to know....

I'm probably going to end up mounting it solo, might stay that way for awhile ... My next one I really want the sedirea japonica. Lol

Pavel, I would recommend boiling the driftwood from the pet store anyway. I put a piece of Malaysian driftwood from the pet store in my aquarium and it leached tannins, discoloring the water and also lowering the Ph. I boiled it for several hours and now it's fine.
