I use straight Ro or rain to flush the pots , for Fert. the MSU made for rain or Ro. if used straight over time they become depleted of minerals as Forrest said .
Some people add back what they call dirty water from the tap to the Ro. or rain . Gin

Better listen to Forrest and Gin! Been there, done that...and it wasn't pretty! ugh. Wish I'd have had the sense to add back some tap but I didn't...sigh. In fact, I only recently found a discussion talking about the dangers of using PURE RO. Too little, too late for me.
I love the countertop unit....I get a little over 3 gal per hour most days. Like Gin, I stockpile it and add something to it, either fert or tap, to avoid the deficiencies now. Works fine.
