From what it looks like, you are going to have to cut.
Cut the pot in order to uppot that plant without damaging the roots.
Chopped up a pot on many occasions similar problems. Plant isn't big enough to up grade pot size just yet. Fun will start next spring.
Some of them just like it that wayTo be nosy neighbours. I have some that have sent their roots into the pots of the neighboring orchids hehe.
I have a lot that like having visiting root systems.

I wish mine would have that problem.
Even this year in Florida the temps got devestating. I know I lost over 40 orchids to blasting and freezing. Its not just about regulating temps but maintaining no matter where you are. Outside was dangerous this year so I had moved everything indoors only to have my heating system fail. In my shed turned greenhouse, I had rotting problems due to leaks in the roof ( we get snow here its just liquified).
I have read that the clear pots tend to keep the roots in the pot. I'd like to experiment with that a bit. If so, I'll be looking at buying a few cases.
