btw, the little white spots on the flower stalk are little droplets of orchid honey.

i have a question about these sorts of plants, if anyone knows... when they go dormant, do the roots sort of die back as well? or should they appear more lively, like a vanda or phal root?

i have noticed the happy sap during the bud formation. i think the roots die as a practice to conserve energy may be?.

Very nice. I was wondering why the spikes were white when it has a "black" bloom. Mine is doing the same (although much smaller). Yours is growing really fast!
