Paphiopedilum Cassandra's Fairy in bud - how long to flower?

Thanks for asking, I had forgotten about this thread. Y'all know how it is... life.

Anyhow, the Cassandra's Fairy bloomed for me just about a month ago. So from my first post to blooming time, it took a little under three months. WOW. What a long time. But I think the bloom was definitely worth it.

My experience says the longer they take to bloom once the spike starts forming, the longer the bloom lasts. I have one paph that is about to drop its flower and moment, opened on Sept 26. Only the last few days has it gone limp on its way out.

I would agree. One of my other Paphs (a complex hybrid) opened and dried up during the time period when I was waiting for this guy to bloom. The bloom did not feel as substantial (sort of paper thin) as this one and only lasted a couple of weeks.

The main imperfection I see with this guy is that there's a wide white stripe on the dorsal that kind of takes away the symmetry. Otherwise, I love it! Takes after its Maudiae parentage.
