My orchid lost all of her leaves, but flower stems still grow

I have a phal in a similar situation. I've even posted here in the forum, in general orchid culture.
what u need to do is,
1) cut the flower spike down
2) soak plant in fungicide
3) repot or just place plant in a free draining media like bark.

4) spray the roots whenever dry and also fertilise it weekly weakly with a high a nitrogen fertiliser
5) keep plant in a warm shaded place with humidity 40-50% above

In few weeks u will see a green growth from the base of plant in between the roots. Keep watering and fertiliser as above till it grows into new leaves. All the best!!! Be patient it takes time.

I know that this is not into the theme, but I really want to know - what is up with this orchid that I had rescued from my mum's work? when I got it it had a only one healthy flower. I pollinated the flower and now the seed pod is 2,5 months old. 2 days ago it lost one of her leaves and now only 2 leaves remain. what is up whit this orchid? the remaining leaves are healthy and juicy, the flower stem also. but it is kinda dark green, is that normal?

Leaves look healthy but ariel roots that are visible in the photo look dehydrated. check the roots if they are ok. if they are alright then nothing to worry.

well, the yellow orchid that I said had no leaves died, It becme a "dried tumbleweed" I trowed it away. anyway, thanks for all of yours for tips.

The leaf you lost did it also darken? Was it mushy in the end? It appears by the picture to me that the plant may not be able to breath since the only exposed root I see does not seem viable and so it is not able to do its job. Try to loosen the soil more and perhaps expose a few more roots and see if that helps. I agree above about the root shown being dehydrated and by my veiw of the picture it looks like it has already discolored and will soon shrivel. Just clip of the bad part of that root and perhaps it can still branch a new root off of it. Keep us posted on your progress.

well, this orchid with the seed pod also died. after I posted the picture it starter dying more and more and loset all leaves. now what's left is the stump with no leaves. I semerged it in water and it starter growing new roots. I think it will soon grow new leaves.

And as you see in the pictures, some of the orchids are planted in plastic clear pots, but soem are planted in wide and bid old glass ceiling lamp shades. I planted some orchids in those old soviet made ceiling light shades, because they wide, have a huge hole in the bottom and are clear. so yeah. . . enjoy!
