Vanda roots- thick or thin

I've observed the same phenomenon in my vandas. I just assume they're happier in the new conditions and self-congratulate.

Is that a Dendrobium Jairak Rainbow in your profile pic Mary Kay? I got one of those a few weeks ago and yours looks similar. Aren't the green-tipped sepals wonderful?

Kitty, that is a MONSTER vanda! That one root coming out the top is huge!

You're not alone and do the right thing.my Vanda Manuvadee is growing thick root but not flower yet.

I believe it is. I will check when I get home. I just realized I never posted it's photos - other than to put it in my profile pic. It is gorgeous. My daughter picked it out and now has the opinion that she picks out the best orchids. Now if I could just get her to pay for them, it would be great!

I'm going to my local'ish orchid nursery tomorrow, they are having 20% off of everything. I can't wait to see what else I can add to my growing collection.
