so what should i do next?
repot it?
cut the spikes?
or should I wait for my last two buds to hopefully bloom?
do you think that opening at the bottom of the pot is enough for drainage?
thx alot all

Rara,
The pot opening is fine. Water when the potting mix just dries out. Er, by waiting an extra day, if in doubt. Once the plant is out of bloom, I'd repot it to see how the roots look. That's the best indicator of the plant's health.
In the meantime, you can wait for the last buds to bloom on the spike; you can cut the spike high (just below the first blooming bract - the joint that the first bud came out of, that's probably already fallen off - trying to get it to rebloom on this spike; or you can cut the spike at its base and let the plant put its energy into growing bigger and healthier for next year's blooms.
The leaves look healthy - I'd think of choices one or two, but it's up to you.
Julie
thank you so very much Julie and the rest
God willing my orchid will bloom again
hello everyone
my leaves are turning weird in color
one bottom leave turned yellow and wrinkled.
the top leave is starting to get a yellow center
what's wrong??
God bless

But no rush to judgement yet -- Check to see if there is any sign of rot in the crown of the plant. Make sure no water is in the crown at any time. And make sure it isn't getting direct sunlight at any point in the day..
I think there is a REAL trouble
all the leaves turned yellow with the exception of the top crown one which is still green
I am really worried now and totally unaware of what to do
is it dyin????![]()
Hi , It does not sound good , probably some type of rot. From the roots or crown .
What happens is rot enters the plant killing it . If only one leaf left I would not try and save it . Know how you feelGin
Julie,
I think you're right too about the drainage. I bought mine on sunday and the blooms are dropping. Its wrapped in paper so I just took the paper off...we'll see...
