Paphio dianthum

Interesting, must have missed the one you highlight Zain, my opinion, 2 different Paphs & probably out of the one crossing. Maybe a Natural hybrid?? IMO, this is in no way a species is isn't the one previously posted. It may be a totally new species. It needs to be tested to find out.

Unlikely Yug as parishii have had many flowers and different shape.

It was worth a big smile Zain, beautiful!

I really enjoyed it and the seller is correct as it can flower in low land so sad another spike was aborted due to Erwinia.

Thanks Roy sometimes I also wondering what it is as I have no experience about this species/hybrid and is not typical for dianthum by observing the dorsal, it's very tough flower and the bristles very prominent over the petals which I thought initially as caterpillar and I concur with you may need to be tested later..

It's a hybrid not dianthum or parishii, without knowing the clonal names or place of origion, it could only be speculation, unless you know the place of origion and ask what other hybrids they had at that time, looks to have dianthum in it though, it looks thick!! Maybe a tonsum x dianthum..... etc etc.. I could only speculate

Very nice shiny waxy flowers. Whatever it is, it's beautidul. I have now a St. Swithin about to bloom. Will post pictures when it does.
