I got this from a friend last spring in California. I did not realize that it was a late bloomer. I had taken it out of its pot and removed the media and dead roots and put in the area that I put this species for their winter rest. About a month later I noticed 5 spikes growing so I stuffed it into a net basket to allow it to bloom, 1 of the spikes did not survive and this is the outcome.
