They are especially funny looking when they are in bloom. You'll have 1-2 foot psuedo with a ten foot spike, and all of the flowers on the end of the spike. Pretty odd!

Sorry, I didn't catch the joke! It's been a long Monday! This picture is of a schomb splendida in spike. I don't have any in bloom right now( I cut all of the spikes), but I will follow up when this guy is in bloom. Right now the spike is about 4 feet almost 5, and will reach probably 10 feet by the time it blooms.
