Nooow just to dig up this old thread...
I don't know how this escaped me until now - but the developing second spike is coming from a growth that is very much unlike the one holding a flower. As you can see from the pictures, the leaves on the growth with the new spike has much darker veining comparred to the one holding the flower. Furthermore the leaves with the dark veins has a very sandpaperish surface, where the lighter one is all smooth.
Did I just get lucky here - buying a pot where the grower had put in two different plants? Or can this just be variations? I guess I'll know for sure when the flower opens - but I'm just to damn curious
