And to Joan's question, Doritis was a genus closely allied with Phalaenopsis. Those little taxonomy devils have been busy, however, and they've decided that Doritis rightfully belongs in Phalaenopsis. Hence, no more Doritis and no more Dtps. It's all one big happy Phalaenopsis phamily now.

Now we admit that Doritis are Phalaenopsis even if you can see a difference!
Doritaenopsis = Phalaenopsis (or Doritis) x Phalaenopsis=Phal.

i know that the taxonomists now call them phals, but i like the word "Doritaenopsis" it's just a fun word.
But i hate the word "Doritis". sounds like a skin condition

Yesy, in my opinion, as the difference really exists, it’s better to tell Doriteanopsis

I think the plant is pretty cool, but I don't get how it's semi-peloric. I thought peloria was when the plant changed some petals to extra lips. And should I use peloria or pelorism to describe something being peloric/peloricness?
