    Hi Piper,

    I have it about 4 Month but I got it already with spike emerging just a little
    and later I got second spike ( it's on picture behind). It took already long time when bud was ready to grow and open and I thought it will not happened and it just bust that first bud.
    Actually I didn't expected it blooming on winter, after all, days are so short here in Germany even it get luminescent light 5h a day after daylight
    gone. But... You know, Orchids always do what they want and when they want. There are some that just don't want bloom, indifferent what we do.

    Hi murgdan,

    I have already small collection of violaceas, bellinas and their hybrids
    but this one is most strong scent from all. Actually I don't like to smell it directly from bloom because it's too strong, within 1-2m it's just fantastic.
    Some of them have scent only mornings or evenings and nights but this smells all the way, non stop.

    outstanding color! I find most phals really take well to s/h for some reason. much better than many paphs, actually!

    I'm really happy that I found that information about S/H on the net.
    S/H, if it's done right, is very good oportunity to grow orchids better than in other media. IMHO.
    I have no one Paph, so have no idea why they don't like S/H
    but I risk now my Vandofinetia's and fear if it go well.
    But this Penang Girl is still in bark.
