I would be proud too....that sounds amazing. I am afraid to try it again so I put this rootless wonder into s/h. However, next time I will try it. Thank you.

Just a caution--I find that the quickest way to kill a rootless wonder is put it into s/h. I suppose it would work fine if you had a greenhouse or some other way to get very high humidity, but it just doesn't work on the windowsill. Even primeagra doesn't wick well enough to keep that top layer moist on the windowsill. Just what I've found...

I've never tried s/h, but as Jason said, I've read that it doesn't work well with rootless plants. I would consider giving the sphag/humidity tray/misting approach one last try. If the plant is that sick already, it couldn't hurt.

I had a dendrobium that looked like it was going to die. All the leaves fell off, and I accidently broke the one of the two canes. So it has half of one cane, and a full cane left. I was about to dump it, but turns out it was just in a dormant period. I have Two new canes growing. I guess I was lucky that the roots weren't damaged.

I cannot tell you how sick these plants were. No roots, two pathetic wrinkled leaves each. I'm quite proud of myself...

You should be! It takes a lot of patience to bring these suckers back once they start going downhill.
