I repeat the old saying...A watched pot never boils...to myself when I go out to look at my "growths". lol It is soooooo true....anything stared at won't do anything...go away and ignore it for a month and Voile' it sprouts everywhere! This applies to anything "orchid". lol

Actually, I've been watching this pot for a little while! This was the Dtps that I bought from an el-cheapo store for $12 about a month ago... Started having droopy, softening leaves and I ended up repotting it (thanks to a clumsy kitty) in bloom. Found icky slime mold in there and probably about 1/2 or better of the roots were rotted. I agonized about the possibility of cutting the spike, but when I got back from my vacation a couple of weeks ago I noticed it had a little tiny baby leaf-edge poking out of the crown! And the leaves perked up a little, too.
Now.. that baby leaf is already over an inch long! Sometimes I swear its growing about 1/4" a day! I'm still watching. It's still growing!(Of course, the catt's I'm waiting to see sheaths on are laughing at me....)
<Edit: My Onc has a new growth, too! How exciting!>

You're doing great! glad to see they are coming around for you. About blooming catts... well, have some patience. I have some that won't bloom for 2 years and then put on a real show. And some bloom on every new growth, sometimes 3 times a year... especially the Richard Mueller types.
