I like all of them , very pretty ! Gin
Have you ever experienced multiple blossom on one stalk? I just got one of these a couple of months ago and now the second blossom is coming and the third bud is showing too....
Wow, I'd never seen that yellow form before, very nice...
It is beautiful to see those three amazing blooms side by side!
A resurected old post :-)
I believe only once have I had 2 flowers opened on the spike at the same time.
Yes, the alba or should it be flava form of papilio is quite nice. The flower size is not as large as the normal color form but I love it anyway.
Those look great. I like the third picture the best.
What is the difference between a var. alba and var. aurea?
I have a seedling for a Psychopsis papilio var. aurea but the seller's picture looked like your var. alba.
John, My tag says alba but when I think alba, I think white. Botanically, I guess alba can include lack of color so technically this can be called alba but aurea or aureum I think would be more appropriate being it is yellow. I siuspect that what you see listed would be the same as mine. I had read a discription of what can be included in the term alba, and although I have booked marked it, I can't seem to locate the article.
I love how those look. I hope I can add one to my collection some day.
