Not hard to grow, but they have strict resting requirements in the winter when they go all leafless and dormant. If you water them too much during this time they rot within a matter of days. I just lightly spray the top of the spag in winter.
However, when the new leads are actively growing, you CANNOT overwater these guys...they love nice wet spag (wetter than I would keep my phals). They also like to be fed a lot when growing but nothing when resting.
You should try them!
Thanks for the good, detailed culture information, Clint. Sounds a little tricky, but might be something I could manage. Thanks to Diane's auction, and come to think of it, I believe it was Diane's psycopsis comment, I've just blown the summer orchid buying budget!! Dang her!
