The flowers just started opening a few days ago, so I am not sure if these are fully open or if they still have some ways to go.

Three pseudobulbs spiked. Six flowers in all.





I was expecting them to be more purple, but maybe they will develop more color as the flowers age.
The petals also appear more frilly than the standard Puppy Love. But the yellow throat and violet chin is on the mark.
Perhaps it needs more sun. It has been overcast the past few days and might be causing the flowers to not "cook" right.

The plant is growing in an 8" wood basket with medium orchid bark.

I splurged a bit when I bought this plant a few months ago. I think the $35 is well worth it now
