Gee thanks..but granted it was in a 4" pot when I bought it and this hybrid tends to bloom small I think I just got lucky...

Love the color! It bloomed very quickly for you considering this was a bag orchid purchased as recently as May. You're very lucky or just a very good and knowledgable orchid grower.

I've found that several of the Big Box Planted orchids go on sale for virtually nothing if you catch them at the right time. When the blooms fall off, the box stores seem to think that they'll never bloom again, and they put them up on the "rescue rack"-Usually for 1/2 price or less!!
Grocery stores just throw the plants away when they stop blooming, I've paid as low as $2 for a beautiful (yet common) specimen that would have otherwise become part of the local landfill.

Home improvement and garden center stores. Larger home building stores that carry a select few plants, but are not considered greenhouses.

So True! I found Momilani Rainbow half price at a box store. She had just finished blooming on two spikes, but she has a third spike developing and two new leads!
