Why Vandas?

Ok, decided to get one. Can you guys/gals give suggestions for heat loving varieties that grow fairly quickly?

Yeah, the current celebrities are more like Stanhopeas.

i like that i can put them outside for 3/4 of the year, and a few all year. they are bigger, and have a very tropical exotic look to the plant, not just the flower. i grow them in pots, so the roots are not that obnoxious. so far. some of them are fragrant. and have you not seen vanda coerulea????????? the vanda family has a good variety of shapes and sizes, and colors, all sorts of hybrids and some bloom a few times a year.

I agree totally. The variety, and combination of colours and shapes makes them one of my favourites for growing in my conditions.

ok, I think I want one but you guys have not given me a lot of names that I should look at. I don't want to get one them somebody post that it only blooms every ten years! lol
