What does that mm thing mean again? Is that like 1/8 of an inch or 1/4 maybe?

millimetre , more like 1/25 of an inch, or thereabouts.

As a sequential bloomer gets more mature and can generate more energy to drive the blooming process, it can sustain more flowers simultaneously. Early on, one flower drops before the next one opens. Perfectly fine flowers drop, mind you. The plant simply jetisons them.

As the plant gets stronger, the flowers will overlap blooms, eventually, it may support two or three simultaneous blooms, but the oldest always falls when the newest one opens, regardless of how many are blooming in between. The number of flowers it puts out is also a measure of its strength and happiness.

And yes, Steven's sense of humor is way out there. Sometimes slightly too far out, but that can happen in Idaho... hehehe!
