Right after the sheath formed, it was no longer than a week before I noticed buds. Just try upping the light a bit and let the plant dry out slightly more than usual, that might trigger the buds.

Very nice. I have a seedling that never bloomed yet but is in sheath though. Does it usually bloom right after sheathing or, as the other member stated, sulk for a while?

Is that pink or lavender? I've seen pictures colored both ways on this type.

The Gypsy cultivar is a definite pink.

*eyes picture Ron posted of his blooms* ... Must be a lighting issue, then. I've noticed some pictures of blooms indoors vs out change the colors sometimes. Still a really cool 'chid!
