Hi Lansrose,
This was just an excersize in pollinating the flowers. I did not plan on proceeding further than that.
The purpose of the practice was the following:
1. Determine if I am pollinating the flowers properly.
2. Observe the effects on the plant to find out what I need to do in order to avoid any problems should I decide to propagate plants by seed crossing in the future.
3. Observe what potential problems could occur in the seed pod from the time of pollination up to the time that it matures.
Since I have accomplished all goals for this excersize, the seed pod was no longer needed and was discarded in order to let the plant rest.
