I can count myself as one of the lucky humans that have held a hummingbird in my hands - THEY WEIGH NOTHING !!! Again, one of them smacked into the picture window and fell to the deck. I cradled it in my hand ( mostly to keep the cats at bay ) and after a minute it awoke, shot straight up to eye level and hovered ( as if to say thanks! ) and then zoomed away.
We get quite a few Rufus in the spring/summer, and you are right Mehera they are very aggressive - they will dive bomb you if you are too close to the feeder! I have one just outside my bedroom window and watch them chasing & scolding each other as I try to convince myself to wake up.
Oh wow, I'm happy if just my one comes around. I have trumpet flowers and a feeder and I only get one. Send some my way!!!

I just read today that a hummingbird weighs less than a penny!
