    Beautiful schomburgkia! Glad you managed to see it in bloom finally One note about schombs during spiking (at least in my experience growing in Malaysia); I think it is better to keep the spikes away from heavy rain. The many bracts on the spikes tend to trap water and rot. I have lost several spikes on one of my schombs, which should be similar to yours; although tibicinis blooms ok.
