Okay...let me translate, since I know what Aaron is saying, but perhaps you all don't!
We flasked two crosses of the same two parents, with Lc. Mildred Rives as the mother (forming the pod) in one case, and with Catt. gaskelliana as the mother (forming the pod) in the other case. MR x gas, and then, gas x MR.
The we knew the Mildred Rives MR for short seeds were sterile within the pod. The gaskelliana gas for short pod had a puncture and we had to sterilize those seeds once they were scraped out of the pod. We weren't entirely sure how long to keep them in ethanol, and we may have sterilized them into the afterlife. That's why we're anxious to see germination there. Also, I'm anxious because I think that pod parent will make for a prettier flower.
So the MR pod seeds look like they're germintating, and the gas pod seeds are still uncertain and remain worrisome.
