ALWAYS use KelpMax at 1 tablespoon/gallon (I have no idea what ppm that is). Anything less is probably a waste of time and product. The pH of the solution should never be allowed to exceed 7, so depending upon the particular cal-mag product, you may have decomposed it anyway.

The normal application frequency is one time per month, but if you're goal is to revive a plant or rescue a rootless one, the thing to do is immerse it overnight it in the solution, then pot it up and water it in with it. Use the KelpMax solution for the next two waterings, making it three times total, and then return to the monthly application.

Just out of curiosity, and knowing that TDS meters are quality variable, the next time you are going to use the KelpMax, can you please test the TDS of the plain water, then again with the tablespoon/gallon of KelpMax added for me?
