I attached a picture from earlier in the season. The plant has two new shoots now and masses of roots above ground (and hopefully undeground too). It appears that a well grown plant will keep leaves up to 3 seasons, maybe moreI'd love to see a pic of the whole plant

True, but neither are most larger Cymbidiumsnot a plant for a window-sill !
Absolutely beautiful. I love how the lip looks like a butterfly Best of luck reblooming!
Sean,
I am wondering how your plant is doing. Mine is getting two new shoots, but no flowers stalks. So I guess, it won't flower this year. I also noticed a few strange white furry eggs in the substrate on one side of the pot; not quite sure what it is and whether actually a pest, but may have to repot.
Not much information around on cultivation, except that it is difficult to bloom. I grow it in intermediate conditions and dappled sunlight for a few hours a day, although it doesn't get any direct sun in winter. Moist in summer and drier and cooler in winter. It grows well, but alas no flowers yet.

Actually, the plant only cost me as much as 2 large cattleya's ... I couldn't believe it and think the vendor may have made a mistake. Not to mention have sufficiently deep pockets ...
Just beautiful, Lars - stunning color and markings. It's good to know it's a huge plant, because otherwise I'd have to get one!
I have a Neomoorea irrorata whos purchase was inspired by this very post Lars. My plant is relatively small so it may be years before I see blooms. Some people look forward to retirement. Some look forward to being with the grand kids and family. Me , I look forward to see my Neomoora irrorata bloom......... AL
