Default new to orchids and I have a question...

I just acquired an orchid from a friend... it is not in bloom which doesnt bother me at all... i have a good window facing south east... i can create humidity and will not overwater... having said all that, i know it is Dgmra. Winterwonderland 'White Fairy'... is this an Oncidium or something else?... what does the dgmra. stand for?... what is the best way for me to care for this orchid... i feel myself getting sucked into the orchid world quickly but im a real beginner so i need some help here... i have successfully grown phals... and recently got a couple of cattleya hybrids that im not killing... im reading lots of orchid books and of course any help is very much appreciated... thanks

Dgmra. Degarmoara is a cross between Brassia x Miltonia x Odontoglossum. Hope this helps. Care for it as you would a Brassia. South East window is fine, but watch that sun make sure it is filtered.

Welcome to the group. Be sure to post a few pics of your 'chids from time to time. We enjoy seeing what others are growing. There are great people on here that will be able to diagnose problems by what the plant looks like. Gotta love these botany majors.
