Enjoy...this is my first blooming primary! I got it in a not-so-good shape with 1 and 1/2 leaf and red mite infestation in July. But here it blooms at last! The first bud of the first spike opened during the night. The bloom is really small, about 1cm (0,39 in).
It was a long wait...the first spike popped up in November and the second in January. Each spike carried 4 buds, but the top 2 on each spike blasted for reasons I've yet to determine.
I will try some better macro shots to show the lip detail.

Absolutely beautiful! Good growing!
What a cutie! Just adorable.
My lobbii blasted every single bud on its two spikes. I increased the water and it looks like there are a couple more buds coming again. Maybe this time *fingers crossed*
What a cutie. Good shot.
Now that's cute.
Well done you, I saw some of these at the RHS show at the weekend, and I couldn't believe how small they were in real life! I was going to say that they are really dinky - but I have been reliably informed that this is a bad word in American!
bad word in what sense?
Looks good! They're fragrant too, btw.
I'd agree. Oh it's not a foul word but it does have a negative connotation. While "tiny" can have a negative feel too, it more often has more of a overtone of amazement or simulataneous implies "Oh, how cute!" In contrast, "dinky" generally implies small in substandard fashion. [Ex. "I wouldn't eat there again! Good grief! They charged an 'arm and a leg' but the portion sizes were so dinky."]
What a treasure of a little bloom; really worth the wait Giovanna! I like the pic with the standard phal nearby. Makes Lovely Kid look charming and elegant, and not a bit dinky. LOL
