Default Did I miss a blooming cycle this year?

I have a den. I bought last summer in bloom that has a HUGE new cane it's been growing all year...I noticed that it's been throwing out lots of new roots, but no spike. Do you think I missed it's blooming cycle? As far as light goes, it's been all over the place this year. Half the time it's in a western window, the other half in a southern. I always thought root growth comes after spiking, which is why I'm worried.

    Default More info needed :)

    Kelly,

It all depends on what type of dend you have. Does it have a tag? If there is no tag...post a picture..that way we can tell if it is a soft cane dend or a hard cane dend. Dends are a VAST family with differing behavior, cultural requirements, etc.

Most hard cane dends bloom in the summer AND in the Fall here, Kelly. I would say just be patient and keep up the good culture.
