Hello,
I was so excited that a keiki was developing at a node on an old phal flower stem! On the advice of a local orchid grower, I went to repot the plant (i.e. main plant, w/keiki attached). The junction must have been very fragile - when I was taking the plant out of the box I transported it in, the stem broke, exactly at the point of the keiki. The keiki did not have any roots yet - just a full (small) leaf and another starting. (So now, I essentially have the little rootless keiki, attached to the part of the stem *above* it from the main plant). Is there any way to keep it alive, and allow it to grow roots?? Thank you! Laur
